So I had the priviledge to take some great maternity shots for a client today. Here is a few. She doesnt know what she is having but she makes a beautiful pregnant mommy to be!

Not enough time in the day

Now that I am busy trying to run both these semi businesses I seem to not have any time to think! Poor Alien A will no longer cooperate with me so she wont model the TUTUS anymore. The weather hasnt been good enough to do any pictures... Oh well

Today I had the chance to shoot pictures of three very adorable sisters! Unfortunatly I was shooting all manual so the pictures of the littlest one didnt come out as good as I hoped. But at any rate I was super excited and had tons of fun taking loads of pictures. It was great getting the girls all dressed up in cute TuTus and running around like little princesses! A big thank you to Lady F for letting me take these awesome pics of her daughters! I have more but here is just a sample of some of the great shots!

Its Up! Its Up!

Horray for me! After an exhausting 3 days of trying to build a website I finally am up and running. Now its not my FINAL draft but I have to start somewhere right? I have found that if I have the money I will let someone do that crap for me. I am pretty saavy when it comes to the internet but OMG all the damn codes, Im surprised I still speak english.... HTML,SQL,CSS,ABC, yada yada yada.... I stayed up half the night trying to get everything to work and it wouldnt but horray for me (giving myself a well deserved pat on the back) I finally got it up and moving. So Step 1 is done. I got my site up. I got my cards ordered today they should be in next week. I got a photoshoot Thursday already..... Im so excited! Now I am going to go enjoy a glass of wine!

So here are some pictures that I did today. Not to shabby considering this was my first photo shoot using a light system. Plus I had Alien A was running around like a loose canon and was near impossible to shoot, I was practicing shooting in manual so as soon as i would get her in focus she would move. Then I would get an awesome shot but it would be outta focus. I got to get quicker at that. I cant wait to get my new lens Im sure Ill have tons of pictures then. But good news is I didnt burn the house down with the hot lights and I didnt hang the Alien from the ceiling fan so all in all I guess you could say it was pretty successful.... Here are some sample shots but does it really matter I have no readers... LOL

Excited...

So I slowly my buisness dreams are slowly unfolding! Not only am I going to be proud owner of my own photography buisness but also co - owner of a side buisness with my best friend.... We are still keeping what we are doing on the hush hush! LOL We have a fantastic Idea as well as a snazzy buisness name but until we get it up and running noone will no what it is (dont want anyone to steal my glory... LOL)... Anyhow my photography buisness is going to focus on children and their mommies. Mostly candid shots, I already call my buisness "Cahill Creations" but when I do my shots with children and mommies it will be under "Mommy & Me Photography, a division of Cahill Creations". I will be doing templates for cards as well as individual shots of children. I have my official first shoot next week and I cannot wait! I also ordered my new lens today so I will be super excited when that comes in! Cheers!

Chalk another day up

So over the weekend I had time to think about what exactly I want to get myself into. I sat down wrote out a buisness plan and then just confused myself even more. I know what I want just no idea how to start it. I want to take some photography classes to get better adjusted to what I am doing with my camera but unfortunatly Im not able to at the moment... Oh well another day in paradise I guess. Well back to the grind tomorrow school, football practice etc. Im still snapping pictures like crazy of the kids but for some reason Alien A, she isnt letting me take her picture any more. Upsetting cause she use to be my biggest model! LOL
